Respite Peer Support Specialist

We are currently a Respite Peer Support Specialist to join our Warmline Team. If the following describes and intrigues you, please consider applying:

Must be in recovery from the personal impacts of being labeled with mental illness, suicide attempts, and/or psychiatric hospitalization
Strong understanding of trauma and its impact on emotional and mental health
Strongly grounded in personal wellness and healing
Part-time, weekends
Experience with holistic wellness, trauma and resilience, mental health recovery and/or consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement
Sound judgement and decision-making during crisis events
Comfort with working in a passionate, collaborative, creative alternative environment that doesn’t bill for services, rather demonstrates quality of life outcomes and does not use a clinical lens, language or worldview to understand emotional distress.
Must be able to be self-motivated.
