Promise Resource Network is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to transform the approach to recovery from mental illness, substance use, and trauma, by focusing on wellness, not illness. Your donation will help us live our mission every day through individualized recovery support, education programs and advocacy, allowing us to change lives and change the way society approaches recovery.
Looking for support right now? Here are a couple ways to get connected to PRN.
PRN’s confidential 24/7 peer support warm-line serving Mecklenburg County residents, 833-390-7728, is available anytime, any day if you’re feeling isolated and alone, need to talk through a problem, or are looking for a resource. WE.HEAR.YOU…and we’re good at listening.
Each of our classes focus on wellness by providing a safe, supportive environment. Join us on the journey to wellness. Take the first step to healing today.
We offer programs to any individual in need of recovery treatment, including those who have opted out or were kicked out of traditional recovery treatments.
Due to COVID-19, the physical Recovery Hub location is only open for 3 classes a day, Monday – Friday. Most classes and programs have been moved online to our Virtual Recovery Hub platform. Interested in learning something new or sharing your experience? Check out our daily Recovery Hub classes.
Our newest initiative, the peer-run respite, offers an alternative to going to an emergency department, in-patient mental health services, and/or involuntary commitment through a non-forced, voluntary and non-locked healing alternative in Charlotte. The peer-run respite offers peer support 24/7 and opportunities for people to explore recovery throughout their stay. Up to 3 guests at a time can stay at the respite for up to 7 days and can maintain their connections to family, community, continue to go to work and school.
Outside, the respite space has gardens, water features, patios and is located in the beautiful community of Plaza Midwood on the bus route.
Inside, each guest has their own room with a small refrigerator and shared living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and 3 bathrooms. If the guest desires, supports, connection to resources, activities such as yoga, meditation, bicycling, etc., are available.
If you are interested in learning more about the respite, set up a time for an in-person or virtual tour by contacting the respite 24/7 at (704) 390-7716 or email Anna Fiscus-Surita at afiscus@promiseresourcenetwork.org.
