Facilities Specialist II – Raleigh

About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled person with facility maintenance and handyman type skills to join our facilities team. This role combines moderate building maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our building remains clean, safe, and fully operational, as well as general cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete HVAC maintenance, plumbing, low-voltage electrical, and small carpentry work as needed in the locations
• Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and adjusting doors or furniture.
• Perform painting of walls, trim work and patch work as assigned/needed.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Perform light to moderate yard work (i.e. mowing (push-mower & riding), trimming, debris collection, leaf blowing/collection, etc)
• Perform daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and restock supplies.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for events or meetings.
• Maintain maintenance and cleaning equipment and inventory, communicating inventory needs with Manager.
• Respond to urgent repair or cleaning requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience in handy person tasks and janitorial work.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s license or ability to legally operate the company vehicle.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar programs.
• Proficient with facility management software (i.e. MaintainX).

Salary: $20-23 per hour
