Promise Resource Network is thrilled to be a part of A National Crisis Continuum Conference (CrisisCon23), taking place at the Sheraton/Le Meridian Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina from November 13th to 16th, 2023. It is a critical and timely collaboration from The Crisis Residential Association, the International Council for Helplines, and the National Association of Crisis Organization Directors.
This conference is the first of its kind, bringing together crisis providers like Promise Resource Network (PRN), partners, advocates, and payers for three days of learning, connecting, and growing.
Services represented at this conference include:
- Crisis call centers
- Mobile crisis teams
- Crisis residential programs
- Peer respites
- Psychiatric urgent care and crisis stabilization
- Partial hospital programs
- Peer lines/peer run warm lines
PRN founder Cherene Allen-Caraco is thrilled to welcome national leaders in peer support, crisis service providers, policy makers, and payers to learn from and with each other about crisis prevention, diversion, and non-carceral responses around the country.
Cherene is excited about the event, noting, “I am particularly pleased that this year, peer respites and peer support lines are highlighted as essential and effective. Our team will be welcoming 100 conference attendees at our peer respite in Plaza Midwood, Retreat @ The Plaza. I am also honored that Deputy County Manager, Anthony Trotman, County Manager, Dena Diorio, NC Secretary of Health & Human Services Kody Kinsley will be taking the stage to welcome attendees to our county, city and state, and that Dr. Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, US DHHS Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance will be the keynote speaker, launching CrisiCon23 on Tuesday.”
Make sure to stop by PRN’s table to learn more about our peer-led initiatives. We look forward to seeing you at CrisisCon23!
