Celebrating Our August Dream Team Member and Community Member of the Month

At PRN, we want to recognize individuals who go above and beyond to strengthen our communities through leadership, compassion, and service. We’re excited to celebrate our August Dream Team Member of the Month, Nancey Cooney, and our Community Member of the Month, Mark F., for the positive impact they make every day.

Dream Team Member of the Month: Nancey Cooney

Nancey Cooney, Peer Support Specialist at our Cabarrus Respite/The Retreat @ The Cabin, has been selected as our Dream Team Member of the Month for her exceptional dedication to both guests and colleagues.

Nancey exemplifies the heart of peer support through her empathy, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to helping others. She brings her best to work every day, serving as a role model whose kindness, strong work ethic, and recovery-focused approach inspire those around her. Team members describe Nancey as someone who consistently leads by example and helps create the welcoming, supportive environment that makes the Respite such a meaningful place.

Her commitment extends beyond her scheduled hours, as she is always looking for resources and opportunities to support guests in their recovery journeys. Through her willingness to share her own experiences and connect with others in a genuine way, Nancey demonstrates what it truly means to be a peer supporter.

Congratulations, Nancey, and thank you for all you do for our guests, your team, and the broader Respite community!

Community Member of the Month: Mark F.

We are also proud to recognize Mark F. as our Community Member of the Month.
Since arriving at the Respite, Mark has consistently demonstrated the values of recovery, compassion, and community. He actively contributes to creating a peaceful, welcoming environment and serves as a positive role model for fellow guests through his leadership and willingness to help others.
One of Mark’s greatest strengths is his ability to connect with people. He approaches others with empathy, takes the time to truly listen, and offers encouragement and support when it is needed most. His positive attitude, humility, and commitment to personal growth have made a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.
Thank you, Mark, for helping foster a caring and supportive community. We are honored to recognize your contributions and celebrate your impact.

Congratulations to both Nancey and Mark on their well-deserved recognition! Thank you for making our recovery communities stronger, more supportive, and more welcoming for everyone.
