Promise Resource Network (PRN) is honored to announce that Erika’s Closet is now officially a program of PRN, aligning two missions deeply rooted in hope, dignity, and community connection.
For nearly seven years, Erika’s Closet has been a source of care and confidence, providing free clothing, shoes, and essential items to individuals and families rebuilding their lives. As Erika’s Closet grew into workforce development, what began as a small act of compassion became a movement of empowerment. This work reflects PRN’s belief that recovery and wellness are built on healing, opportunity, and the freedom to form an identity beyond systems and stigma.
Through this integration, Erika’s Closet will continue to operate with the same name, mission, and leadership, guided by its Founder Traletta Banks and supported by PRN’s infrastructure and peer-run values. Together, we will expand access to recovery and workforce development programs, strengthen sustainability, and ensure that Erika’s Closet remains a space of hope and opportunity for all who enter.
“All services are under one roof living side by side with recovery and workforce development,” said Traletta Banks, Founder of Erika’s Closet. “We are decreasing stigma and creating upward mobility for the people we serve. This transition strengthens our program and expands access to support for more people in our community. We invite everyone to walk alongside us in this journey.
Cherene Caraco, Founder and CEO of Promise Resource Network, shared
“This unification of Erika’s Closet as part of Promise Resource Network expands our ability to center workforce development and employment. It is more than shared resources. It is a shared commitment to financial liberation and the restoration of dignity through upward mobility. Erika’s Closet embodies what PRN stands for, and together we will continue to break cycles of poverty and unemployment.”
Promise Resource Network is proud to welcome Erika’s Closet, a program of PRN, into our family of initiatives grounded in love, inclusion, and lived experience. Together, we are creating new pathways toward recovery, employment, and long-term stability. Stay tuned for a video interview with Traletta Banks!
